How The Project Was Received
The core idea for the design of Regus Taichung is nature: pure and simple. The work office can get stale and boring quickly if there is no healthy distraction. FVA designer use green as the main color for interior features. Every corner of the space can find a sight of green, and of course, real greenery.
Normally, plant pots and work desk are separated, and they have little to do with each other. However, for this project, we went bold with our very first special desk design: a desk with a dedicated plant container. This way, visitors may work and relax at the same time. The plants have a soothing effect on visitors and in overall the vibe of the space. Also, it doesn’t have to be green, flowers or other decorative plants can be used as well.
Then, to maintain this ‘natural’ ambiance, lighting system and technical items are hidden behind the recessed ceiling. This allows the place to have continued simplicity. Visitors get enough light but may not see the light source too easily, thus divert their focus on their work and each other.
Other small touches includes pictures of various famous building and some green doors instead of light grey doors in some areas. All in all, Regus Taichung is a minimalistic co-working space is the busy, modern city of Taipei.
